Yvonne Cobarrubias is a dedicated community leader with a proven track record of driving positive change. She has led the community as a servant-leader with a community-centered approach. She collaborates with community members and with staff at the city departments. Over six years as Chair of the Assessment Commission, she honed her skills in evaluating and advocating for programs and processes which have led to enhancing the community’s well-being. Her professional experience includes working at the city department as well as at small businesses in addition to being a business owner herself. She has served as a campaign finance auditor for the Los Angeles City Clerk’s Office, working closely with the city attorney. Her role as a bookkeeper for San Pedro Produce where she managed accounts receivable provided her experience with managing funds with accuracy. As a business owner of R.C. Trucking, Yvonne understands business operations and the needs of business owners and will bring these skills and knowledge to her role as a member of the City Council. Besides her professional experiences, Yvonne’s community engagement has been evident through her advocacy and her role as a volunteer to benefit the youth. Yvonne continues to be a passionate and committed community advocate. She has opposed the expansion of Lanterman State Hospital into a criminally insane facility and has been actively involved in fostering community bonds through volunteer clean-ups and outreach efforts. Yvonne has also served as a foster parent and has been a dedicated member of various parent-teacher associations, including those at Diamond Point Elementary Ranch Hills Elementary, Lorbeer Middle school, and Diamond Ranch High school. She remains accessible and listens attentively to the community members. Her leadership extends to board positions, such as the Diamond Bar NJB, and as Secretary for the Southern Pacific AAU. Yvonne has collaborated with Pomona Unified School to address the challenges faced by parents of students with special needs. Additionally, she has been a campaign worker for Steve Lustro and has participated in numerous community outreach initiatives. Beyond her professional and community engagements, Yvonne is a loving grandmother, mother, and wife, balancing her diverse roles effectively and with a deep commitment to family and community. Yvonne is committed to empowering the voice of
community members and being the voice of community members.

Over site Commission will stay focused on fiscal responsibility, work with city staff to maintaining 220 acres that adhere to the master plan.

They raised three children Richard III, Michael, and Delisia. Grandmother to Aubrey, Richard IIII, and Anthony.
